Graduate Studies
Research contributing to the emerging field of archetypal cosmology is currently being undertaken at institutions in California. Richard Tarnas, author of Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View, is the founding director of the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where Becca Tarnas is on the faculty. The program offers several courses on archetypal cosmology. Keiron Le Grice, a founding editor of Archai and author of The Archetypal Cosmos and The Way of the Archetypes, serves as co-chair of the Jungian and Archetypal Studies specialization in the Depth Psychology program at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara and affiliated core faculty in the Psychology, Religion, and Consciousness online program. Archetypal cosmology features in the curricula of both programs.
